In this picture 5 young kids attended the annual Give-A-Way hosted by the Change Your Community organization. The kids needed some school supplies and were unable to get them by themselves. In order to fulfill their need they came to the annual Give-A-Way. Here at the Change Your Community event they received all of the essentials that they would need for the upcoming school year. The kids got a backpack that can hold all of their supplies. The supplies included anything from pencils, pens, rulers, crayons, paper and any form of a notebook. Not to mention, if the kids needed things like sneakers the event had some that were donated for the cause. Given to the Father’s Table foundation this picture was taken after the kids received their essentials. Starting from the left of the photo is the first young man in the group. He is wearing a grey American eagle shirt with the logo on the left side. Furthermore he is wearing gray shorts as he poses for the camera wearing his new backpack. Standing next to him, is one of the three girls. She is wearing a red shirt with blue jeans. She is also wearing her newly acquired backpack that has red straps. In the middle is the youngest of the group. This young lady is wearing a pink shirt that has flower decorations on it. She is wearing her backpack that she got for school. Next to her is the last girl in the group who is also wearing a pink shirt. In her hand is a tablet that she can use for school and other purposes. In addition she is also wearing her new backpack from the charity event. Lastly, the young man to the far right of the picture is wearing his new green backpack that he can now take to school.

A lot of kids in today's world don't have access to the things they need in life to succeed. Some don’t have access to bathrooms, food, clothing and many other things that we as people need. But there is something that most people over look when it comes to the needs of kids. That need that needs to be filled is the access to school supplies. There is no doubt in peoples mind that having an education is a very important aspect in kids’ lives. But what good is going to school and not being able to write anything down because you don’t have a pencil? That is why the Change Your Community will help out those kids in need of school supplies. The Change Your Community wants all kids to be able to get school supplies to get good grades and to have a solid education.

To make sure that kids will get the supplies that they need for the time being, the Change Your Community will be hosting its 5th Annual Back to School Give-A-Way. Here at the 5th Annual Back to School Give-A-Way the Change Your Community program will be handing out school supplies for all who attend. The Change Your Community organization relies on the generosity of people as well as businesses for donations and support. Furthermore, to go into more detail the 5th Annual Back to School Give-A-Way will give out backpacks, shoes and jackets to kids from low income families. As for the amount that will be given out, the Change Your Community wants to give out 300 backpacks, 100 pairs of shoes and at least 100 jackets. This program is really trying to help out those who are from the local community. They know that if the kids are taken care of then the future will be bright and prosperous.
