This Privacy Policy will advise you about our guidelines concerning the use of your personal information, including the reasonable efforts we make to protect that information in accordance with these guidelines, and about what choices you have concerning our use of such information. Please read this policy carefully. We keep your private information private by:

  • Collecting information using only lawful means: We will collect information using only lawful means—We will collect information from you using lawful and fair means and, where appropriate, with your full knowledge and consent.

  • Not selling your information: We are committed to using your information wisely. We will not sell your personal information to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

Scope of Privacy Policy

This policy applies to your use of this site. This policy does not apply to your use of unaffiliated sites to which this site only links.

Personal Information

We will collect personal information from you only if you volunteer such information to us. Before we collect your personal information, we will identify the purpose(s) for which we are collecting the information. We will collect and use your personal information solely with the objective of fulfilling those specified purposes, unless we obtain your consent in accordance with all applicable laws.

Generally the purpose behind collecting your personal information is to enable us to update you on current projects funded by TFTF, upcoming events, and provide you with other announcements. We will ask that you “opt-in” to receiving this information. Even if you “opt-in” to receiving this information, we will not contact you for unsolicited donations. You have the right to “opt-out” of receiving this information at any time, as explained more fully below.

We take reasonable measures to ensure that we never disclose any personal information about you to any third party without having received your permission (through opt-in or similar procedures as explained below) except as provided for herein or otherwise as permitted or required under law.

We will not rent or sell personal information to outside marketers. In certain circumstances, we may share personal identification information with trusted service providers that need access to your information to provide operational or other support services or we may share aggregate statistical information with other third parties. To ensure the confidentiality and security of this information, service providers must agree to safeguard all information in strict compliance with our policy. We may also provide information to regulatory authorities and law enforcement officials in accordance with applicable law (or when we otherwise believe in good faith that the law requires it) or if we determine in our sole judgment that such disclosure or distribution is appropriate to protect the life, health, or property of TFTF or any other person or entity. We may also provide personal information and data to another party with which TFTF enters or reasonably may enter into a corporate transaction, such as, for example, a merger, consolidation, acquisition, or asset purchase.

Non-Personal Identification Information

We collect non-personal identification information without limitation, through the use of the following types of methodology:

  • “Cookie” technology: Internet cookies are small amounts of data that contain a unique identifier that many websites frequently send to your web browser to be stored on your computer’s hard drive to save data about you, such as your name, password, user-name, screen preferences, and the pages of a website you have viewed. When you revisit the Site, TFTF may recognize you by your Internet cookies and customize your experience accordingly. You may decline Internet cookies by using the appropriate feature of your Web browser software, if available.

  • “IP address tracking”: An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are on the Internet. When you request pages from our Site, our servers log your IP address.

  • “Web beacons”: A Web beacon, or “clear gif,” is a small graphic image on a webpage or web-based document that a website can use to determine information about a user.

Non-personal identification information might include your language preferences, zip code, demographics, your unique device identifier, the browser you use, the type of computer, technical information about your means of connection to our Site (such as the operating systems and the Internet service providers utilized), and other similar information. Our systems may also automatically gather information about the areas you visit and search terms you utilize on our Site and about the links you may select from within our Site to other areas of the World Wide Web or elsewhere online.

We use such information for our business purposes, and, in particular, primarily to administer the Site and to determine what technologies are being used so that we may continually improve our Site, services, and content.

Access to and Ability to Correct Personal Information

Upon your written request, we will provide you with a summary of any personal information retained by TFTF that has been voluntarily provided by you to TFTF. You may modify, correct, change or update your personal information by contacting us.

Donations

We collect only enough information to process your donation and do not use the information for any other purpose. Your payment information is transmitted to us using a secure internet method that helps ensure the privacy of this information. During the time your payment information resides on our computers, it is in an encrypted format and can only be accessed by authorized personnel with a decryption key.

Links to Other Sites

Users may find other content on our Site that link to the sites and services of third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies, or no policy (policies) at all. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third party sites or services before providing any of them with your personal information.

Opt-Out

If you “opt-in” to receive information from us, you can change your mind later. If at any time you would like to stop receiving such information or opt-out of a feature, please contact us. You should be aware, however, that it is not always possible to completely remove or modify information in our databases and servers, although we will always make reasonable efforts to do so upon your request, and we are unable to have your information removed from the records of any third party who has been provided with your information in accordance with this policy or your consent.

Changing the Policy

We may need to modify, alter, or update this policy from time to time to address new issues and reflect changes on our Site. We will post those changes here so that you will always know our policies regarding what information we gather, how we might use that information, and whether we will disclose that information to anyone. Please refer back to this policy regularly. Your use of the Site following any changes means that you agree to follow and be bound by the policy as changed. Any change to this policy will be effective as to any user who has visited the Site before the change was made. It is the obligation of users visiting the Site before the change to learn of changes to the Privacy Policy since their last visit.

Internet Security

The security of personal information is a high priority for us. We maintain online safeguards to protect against unauthorized disclosure, use, alteration and destruction of the personal information in our possession. To protect the security of your credit card information, we use the industry standard for Internet security -- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This Internet encryption standard scrambles data as it travels from your computer to our server. You’ll know that you’re in a secure area of our website when the “http” portion of the website address in your browser changes to “https.” The “s” stands for “secure.”

You understand that the technical processing and transmission of any content via the Site may be transferred unencrypted and involve: (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Please be advised that we do not guarantee that any information sent from our Site will be secure during transmission, nor can we guarantee the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to TFTF via the Site or the Internet in general, including, for example, personal information such as your name or address.

Your Acceptance of These Terms

By using any of the Site, you signify your acceptance of our Privacy Policy, your promise to comply with the representations you make and contained in the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, and your understanding of the scope and limitations of the protections provided under the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these policies, please do not use our Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes to these terms will mean that you accept those changes.
