IDignity is a non-profit organization with a mission to restore dignity and hope by providing identification. Identification is a requirement for individuals to become active members of society. For example, IDs are often required to access education, employment, benefits, housing, proper healthcare, voting, banking, and numerous other basic human needs.

IDignity is able to assist U.S. citizens and legal residents who have had their identification documents stolen, lost, or destroyed in the complex process of regaining their identification. These documents include Social Security cards, Florida IDs, Florida driver’s licenses, replacement immigration documents, and birth certificates. By compassionately, diligently, and efficiently assisting our underserved neighbors in obtaining proof of their identity, IDignity is (at no cost to the client) restoring their hope and dignity.

IDignity does this through collaboration with government agencies, churches, businesses, and the community, like generous grants from the Father’s Table Foundation. By bringing together government agencies, attorneys, and volunteers for bi-weekly events in Central Florida, we greatly simplify the often difficult process of obtaining one’s identity. IDignity has served over 28,000 unique clients in Orlando, Florida, and has launched self-sustaining satellite programs in Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia Counties.

IDignity’s vision is to ensure that all U.S. citizens and legal residents will have access to their essential identification documents while protecting the integrity of identification. The resulting benefits are both tangible and intangible. Not only does the regaining of identification empower individuals, but it also cultivates a more inclusive, productive, and secure society.
