Do you know what the Bible says about money? For those that don’t, the Compass-finances God’s way is a Financial Discipleship Ministry™. The Compass-Finances God’s way teaches Christians all about what the Bible says about money and how to handle it. In 2009 when the organization was founded by Howard Dayton, he had a vision to see that people everywhere would live by God’s financial principles. He hoped that everyone would follow God’s principles in every area of their life. The organization is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian ministry and serves over 60 countries. Their mission is to raise & equip Christ-Centered leaders to follow Jesus, make disciples, and to Glorify God.

With the help from The Father’s Table Foundation, in February 2021, leader’s in-country organized and formed Compass-finances God’s way Ghana. In the past year, the global team for the organization has been working with Ghana leaders to help build Financial Discipleship among the people. The process is slow due to many of the people are hearing this information for the first time in their life. Even with this being their first time, there has been great feedback from the team. The long term goal for the project is to develop a foundation for financial discipleship in Ghana. The foundation will allow the people of Ghana to be self-sufficient and to grow.

As Compass-finances God’s way Ghana enters its second year, their priorities have shifted. The main focus is to on solidifying the building blocks, supporting the new leadership team, and growing the amount of families served. With the help from The Father’s Table Foundation, the organization is now partnering with seminaries, colleges and with West African media organizations. Not to long into the partnership, a leader from Ghana met with a group in the capital of Accra. As a result of this, around 330 individuals were taught the financial principles and how to apply them.

With a lot of people in Ghana unable to read, Compass-finances God’s way is looking to add audio content. This will help deal with the problem of having some people who can’t read and prefer to learn orally. With all of this, Compass-finances God’s way is learning every day to better the situation in Ghana.
