Based in the Catholic Diocese of Moshi-Tanzania, the Adorer Missionary Sisters of the Poor is a religious institute of women. Registered as a non-profit organization in Florida, their mission is to serve the orphans and children in their community. The orphans lost their parents to HIV and other diseases, while the other children come from families who are not financially stable.

Since 2013 when they were founded, the Adorer Missionary Sisters of the Poor has worked diligently to build two schools. The St. John Vianney elementary & high school, have become safe havens for the orphans and the other children. Many families in the area are poor and don’t have the means to provide the kids with a stable upbringing. With the situation as it is, the Sisters know that if they don’t help the kids, they could end up on the streets.

Now the Adorer Missionary Sisters of the Poor extended the school building to have more classrooms. With the building being extended, the additional classrooms allowed more children in need to get the help they deserve. Now the children are seating comfortably in the extra classrooms. There are around 500 children (300 in elementary school, 200 in high school) who are receiving the care they need.
